Let the training commence!
06 August 2020
Whilst the summer season for all OCT racers has been a white wash thanks to the current pandemic, it’s presented a fortuitous chance to work on some skills acquisition and find efficient ways to overcome the challenges that have previously slowed racers down on-course.
With this in mind, we’re reopening our ever-popular Obstacle Course Training class at PKGen London, giving you a chance to kick-start your training for Autumn/Winter. Each 2 hour OCT class will focus on the technical aspects of off-ground assault courses such as wall-runs, rope swings, precision jumps, balancing and swinging, and each week we’ll help you to increase your upper body strength and endurance for those awkward traverses and climbs.
There’s a reason that Parkour practitioners perform so well on Ninja Warrior and Urban Assault Courses – every day we DO the things that most people only train for. So why not join us and give it a go?!

In Part 3 we’re focusing on the shoulder girdle, which will encompass issues of the shoulders themselves, the scapular, neck and upper limbs. Modern living sees us often in kyphotic positions for hours at a time; bent over desks, steering wheels and mobile phone screens. Add to this that most of us don’t know how to breathe properly and are therefore elevating the traps around 20,000 times per day and it’s no wonder that our shoulders get tight and blocked up. Here’s where we fix things!
