TICKETING & GENERAL INFO
WHO?
This event is specifically a celebration for women and non-binary traceurs of 14 years+. Whether you’re an absolute beginner or a seasoned pro, there is a space at this event for you; where you’ll be able to learn, grow, find challenges and overcome obstacles you’d not yet considered, be they mental or physical. Our event is a celebration of all movement, so if you’re a mover of any kind; be it CrossFit, climbing, Spartan racing, yoga, pilates, boxing, weightlifting, dance, gymnastics or anything else in between – this event has something for you.
WHAT?
You’ll get 2 days of professional level coaching from some of the most experienced and celebrated female practitioners in the parkour community. Our first day of parkour training (Saturday) will be inside our HQ facility PKGen London HQ, providing time to hone your skills and confidence in a variety of different activities, within a modular space that allows us to scale up and down across all activities. Day one will also include an optional module for skills comp training with Lisa Schneider. Day two is spent entirely outdoors, exploring the best of the London training spots through a mixture of parkour and practical movement.
This year, training on Saturday begins inside, to allow for exclusive modules with our coaches, but also so that we can host a friendly Skills Competition on Saturday evening for anyone who wants to give this a go, in a relaxed setting and with a set of challenges designed by women for women. We will be sending participants more information about this closer to the event. Sunday afternoon rounds out with our long-held tradition of tea and cake and the chance to chat with the people you’ve met on day one; but we’ll do this picnic-style nearby to the training spot.
WHERE?
Day 1 will be indoors at our HQ facility meaning you can store your bags in the building. Day 2 will be outdoors in one of London’s awesome training spots. You will receive a map notifying you of where the local toilets, cafes and other amenities are situated so that if you’re caught short you won’t have to sprint a mile to get what you need. Our venue is surrounded by several places to grab a coffee or a hot meal during the lunch break, so if you don’t fancy a packed lunch there are other local option. We also have showers on site if you want to freshen up at the end of the event. Just bring a towel!
WHAT TO WEAR?
Come prepared for the elements; despite it being May who knows what the British weather could throw at us. We’ve had everything from glorious sunshine and sweltering heat to blasts of hail and high winds in previous years. It’s best to layer up and bring a wind/waterproof layer if you have it. We’d advise not wearing gloves whilst training, but you might want some during the lunch break.
WHAT TO BRING?
Plenty of water to stay hydrated, plus snacks and any food you might need during the day. There will be lunch breaks, so bringing a packed lunch or money to visit the local cafes. Travel light! On both days, please make sure you bring all you need in a single rucksack which you can run with. Don’t bring unnecessary luggage or valuables as on Day 2 especially we’ll be training on the move.
